Pandora´s box is an application that, in this version, offers an interactive map in which are presented georeferenced points with possible risk of radiation. These sites include nuclear reactors, nuclear waste storage or areas with historic evidences of use of biologic and chemical weapons use (the list is quite large). There have also been inventoried more or less 2700 points where are developing fracking techniques (the countries which information is available are Canada, the US, Great Britain, Ireland, Ukraine and Romania).

Pandora’s Box is an unusual and interesting application which discloses the problem of radiation. It should be mentioned, however, that the current operational version is limited to a database on a map, providing little information. Throughout the tests, some instability was observed in the application running. On one occasion, the app took near 5 minutes to start, which may cause a feeling of malfunction.
As you can see in the demo video, it is developing a radiation meter that will run as a wearable, allowing the registration of radiation data and the communication through the smartphone. This functionality would increase the usefulness of this app.
